Culture Dementia UK was founded in February 1998. Culture Dementia UK was previously known as Friends of African/Caribbean Carers and Sufferers of Dementia (FACCSD)
We became a National charity in the same year. We were set up to support carers and sufferers of dementia among the African/Caribbean community and now the entire BAME community.
Young and Living With
After her dementia diagnosis ,Diane first came to Culture Dementia UK for Help and Support. Diane became one of the first people Living with dementia from the BAME community to speak on behalf of the charity at conferences. Diane who is Young and living with dementia ,now supports others.
